Project
Eindhoven's wild bird population is in decline, and I aim to support their survival by designing a regenerative tower made from fertile soil bricks and rammed earth. To engage people and foster a sense of involvement, I created a dance floor that converts the energy of movement into rammed earth blocks. In a festival setting, visitors will collaborate to stack these blocks and build the fertile tower. This structure will host plants that sprout, nourish insects, and disperse seeds. Insects, in turn, provide vital nutrition for birds, allowing them to live and feed off the tower. As the structure completes its cycle, it decomposes, giving way to fungi, which break down the remains, making space for new growth.
Nature, inherently, is regenerative.
